Poland's ruling Law and Justice (PiS) party on Wednesday submitted to the Sejm a bill introducing solutions to aid the severely disabled. Among others, the law would grant heavily disabled persons queueing priority in medical institutions and pharmacies, easier access to medication and refunds on rehabilitation treatment. The severely disabled will also be able to receive specialist aid without prior reference by a physician. The bill is the government's response to demands for more disabled aid by parents and carers of disabled adults, who have been protesting in the Sejm since April 18.
