Polish President Andrzej Duda has signed into law a foreign-exchange mortgage relief bill, the President's Office announced on Wednesday. The legislation introduces, among other things, more flexible rules concerning usage of funds in the Borrowers Support Fund to help distressed borrowers, while also extending the scale and duration of support. The legislation does not foresee establishment of an FX loan conversion fund financed with bank contributions. The law will take effect on January 1, 2020.
