Polish President Andrzej Duda in a letter sent to the participants in the 26th pilgrimage of workers and employers who gathered in the west-central city of Kalisz on Tuesday praised their joint initiative as one that brings together two usually opposing sides. The president's letter was read out to the crowd by his aide, Andrzej Dera. "I am pleased that today, on May 1, workers and employers gather together at the Sanctuary of St Joseph in Kalisz. It is an important event that contributes to building a community as well as offering an opportunity to reflect on the value of human work," Duda stressed.
