Polish ophthalmologists conclude mission to Cameroon

Over three hundred people were examined by Polish ophthalmologists in Cameroon during a two-week mission organised by the Redemptoris Missio foundation from Poznań (western Poland). The physicians also performed over 70 cataract operations. The Redemptoris Missio foundation has been providing support to people worldwide for 26 years. It conducts dozens of charitable campaigns including collecting clothing for children in Afghanistan and aluminium cans, the proceeds from which go to feeding children in Africa. The ophthalmologists went to Cameroon as part of a project "The Eyes of Africa - we restore vision to the poorest in Cameroon and refugees from the Central African Republic."
