Polish mines produce historically low amount of coal in Sept

November 5th, 2018

Polish collieries produced 4.9 million tonnes and sold 5.0 million tonnes in September, according to the data published by the Katowice (southern Poland) branch of the Industrial Development Agency (ARP). The September figures are historically low, ARP pointed out. The monthly production of coal fell below 5 million tonnes again, after last December. The results recorded in September are noticeably lower than in August, when production and sales exceeded 5.4 million tonnes, and also lower in relation to September 2017, when the volume of mined coal exceeded 5.6 million tonnes and its sales amounted to 5.4 million tonnes.
