Polish FM's meeting with EC Vice-President aimed at easing tensions

The upcoming meeting between Polish Foreign Minister Jacek Czaputowicz and European Commission Vice-President Frans Timmermans is an element of the process aimed at protecting Polish reforms and easing tensions with the EC, the deputy foreign minister said on Wednesday. Czaputowicz will meet with Timmermans in Brussels on Thursday. The meeting is planned to focus on the rule of law in Poland. "This is a continuation of contacts to date, an element aimed at protecting Polish reforms and at the same time at easing the existing tensions with the EC," Konrad Szymanski said.
