Polish, Croatian PMs discuss Balkan issues in Warsaw

July 4th, 2019

Polish PM Mateusz Morawiecki on Thursday morning received his Croatian counterpart, Andrej Plenkovic, at the PM's Office in Warsaw. They were set to discuss the Western Balkans summit currently taking place in Poland and the region's integration with the EU. The three-day Western Balkans summit started in the western city of Poznan on Wednesday. On Friday, it will feature a meeting of Western Balkan leaders and EU countries taking part in the so-called Berlin Process, an initiative aimed to promote the inclusion of the six countries in the EU. A government source told PAP that Poland was interested in Croatia's view of the Berlin Process and wanted to discuss cooperation within the Three Seas Initiative, a joint project of the Polish and Croatian presidents that brings together twelve countries situated between the Adriatic, Baltic and Black Seas.
