Jacek Sasin, head of the Council of Ministers Standing Committee, said on Wednesday that the European Commission's draft budget for 2021-2027 was just a preliminary proposal, by definition an unfavourable one. "We will negotiate and have discussions," he added. Poland is to receive 64 billion euros as part of the EU cohesion policy in accordance with a new EU multi-annual budget, whose draft was presented by the EC on Tuesday. This gives Poland 19.5 billion euros less than in the current funding period. The entire cohesion policy budget for 2021-2027 is planned at 373 billion euros.
