Police investigate brutal girl street fight in Kosice

Kosice police officers are examining a case of disorderly conduct in connection with a viral video shared on social media depicting a street fight between teenage girls near the Aupark shopping centre in the centre of Kosice, the Kosice Regional Police Directorate spokesperson Lenka Ivanova said on Monday. The brutal brawl involving young girls aged between 12-15 years was watched by dozens of thrilled onlookers who encouraged -- often with vulgar shouts -- the "fighters". The video shows one girl lying on the ground and being kicked in the back as well as receiving blows to the head. Some media outlets reported that the fight was arranged in advance and that the "spectators" paid a fee to watch.
