Poles have differing opinions on a bill, being pushed through by the ruling Law and Justice party (PiS), which restricts the independence of judges, say the results of an IBRiS poll published in Monday's Rzeczpospolita daily. In the poll commissioned by Rzeczpospolita, IBRiS asked respondents whether it was necessary to introduce a ban on challenging the position and rulings of other judges. The results showed that 33.5 percent of those polled were in favour of such a ban, 39.9 percent did not support it and 26.7 percent had no opinion on the matter.
