Poland welcomes results of inter-Korean summit

The Polish Foreign Ministry has welcomed the success and results of the meeting between the leaders of the Republic of Korea and of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea held in Panmunjom in the demilitarised zone on Friday. "We appreciate the efforts of the two sides to improve bilateral ties and reduce tensions. We hope that the meeting will be an important step in the process of reconciliation and that the summit decisions will contribute to reaching an agreement on denuclearisation of the Korean Peninsula, deescalating tensions in the region, and ultimately to achieving a lasting peace between the two Koreas," the ministry said.
