The minimum wage in Poland will be raised from the current PLN 2,600 (EUR 592) to PLN 2,800 (EUR 638) from January 1, 2021, up by 7.7 percent, according to a draft regulation of the Council of Ministers published on Monday. The minimum hourly rate will be hiked to PLN 18.30 (EUR 4.16) from PLN 17.00 (EUR 3.88) The same rates were proposed by the government to the Social Dialogue Council a few weeks ago. According to the government's estimates, around 1.7 million employees will benefit from the new regulations while some 2 million employers, including 1.8 million micro-entrepreneurs will feel the impact of higher costs related to the change.
