Poland to become net payer to EU budget in 2027 - daily

Poland will pay more into the EU budget than it will receive by 2027, the Rzeczpospolita daily wrote in its Thursday issue. The European Commission is going to present a draft budget for 2021-2027 on Wednesday. According to the paper, the cohesion funds that helped improve the EU's less developed members' infrastructure are going to be much lower than in 2007-2014. This will completely change Poland's position in the EU and will ultimately make the country - the biggest beneficiary of the EU budget in 2016 - a net payer into the EU budget, it learned informally.
