Poland retail sales up in Aug - stats office

Poland's retail sales increased by an annual 7.6 percent and by 1.2 percent month-on-month in August, the Central Statistical Office (GUS) said on Tuesday. Economists polled by PAP had expected August's retail sales to rise by an annual 6.8 percent and 0.6 percent month-on-month. In real terms, August's retail sales grew by an annual 6.9 percent.
