Poland ready to host NATO command centre

Polish Defence Minister Antoni Macierewicz said in Brussels on Thursday that Poland is ready to host a new NATO command centre. Two new centres are to be established as part of reforms to NATO's command structure. One will oversee the security of north Atlantic sea routes between Europe and the US, the second will guarantee swifter movement of equipment and personnel across Europe. Decisions on the exact locations of the new centres will be made during a meeting of NATO defence ministers in February 2018.
