Poland has its own path for climate and energy transformation, one that is embedded in national conditions, and safe for the economy and for its citizens, Deputy Foreign Minister for European Affairs Konrad Szymanski said on Monday. He also said that the comments, made earlier by the former head of the European Council and former Prime Minister Donald Tusk about the Polish government's information on the results of the EU climate summit, "were very strong words". On Sunday, Tusk told private broadcaster Radio Zet that the message after the summit, at which Poland was given six months to consider "whether the country wants to fall out of the European Union" in matters of environmental and climate protection, was "another Brussels lie from Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki". According to Szymanski, this was "a very strong accusation without any justification." "It's exactly the opposite," he said, adding that Poland was actually in the spotlight during the summit.
