Poland's Purchasing Managers' Index (PMI) fell to 52.9 points in July from 54.2 points in June, economic research company IHS Markit reported on Wednesday. Market expectations stood at 54.3 points. The latest PMI reading indicates a slower improvement in the condition of the Polish industrial sector at the beginning of the second half of 2018 amid stable growth, Markit wrote in a commentary. Both production and the number of new orders as well as employment recorded a weaker growth rate compared to June, but new orders and employment still grew at a faster pace in July compared to the long-term average.
