Poland has already contracted more than PLN 200 billion (EUR 46.79 billion) in European funds from the EU's 2014-2020 budget, the Investment and Development Ministry announced on Thursday. "PLN 200 billion from the EU is already working in Poland's economy," Investment and Development Minister Jerzy Kwiecinski said. According to today's published data, the ministry has signed 38,000 contracts worth a total of PLN 325.1 billion (EUR 76.06 billion) with the EU's contribution at PLN 200.2 billion (EUR 46.84 billion). Some 89,000 applications were filed, within all programmes foreseen for 2014-2020, for subsidies worth a total of PLN 546.4 billion (EUR 127.83 billion), with PLN 337.9 billion (EUR 179.05 billion) in EU subsidies, to the end of July 2018.
