Poland, Germany launch joint border guard project

Poland and Germany will purchase six patrol vehicles and radio equipment and will organise training under a EUR 679,000 joint project (with EUR 600,000 coming from EU funds), a spokeswoman for the Polish border guard's Oder River unit told PAP on Wednesday. The chief aim of the programme is to increase the efficiency of fighting trans-border crime, the spokeswoman, Joanna Konieczniak, told PAP.
