Poland's biggest companies paid a quarter more in corporate income tax in 2018 compared to the previous year, while the number of such businesses grew by just seven percent, the Dziennik Gazeta Prawna broadsheet reported on Wednesday. The data are based on the Finance Ministry's statistics of CIT taxpayers whose revenues exceeded EUR 50 mln. The tax due from such companies exceeded PLN 26 bln (EUR 6.12 bln) in 2018, which compares to PLN 21.1 bln (EUR 4.97 bln) in 2017.
