Slovakia provided state assistance to companies amounting to 301.59 million euros last year, of which 248.03 million came from state coffers and 53.56 million was in the form of EU funds, according to a report drawn up by the Anti-monopoly Office (PMU), which was approved by the cabinet at its session on Wednesday. The total amount of state aid in 2017 fell by 86.39 million euros compared with 2016, which is a drop of 22.27 percent. The volume of state aid in 2017 reached 0.35 percent of GDP.
