Referring to a teacher's strike planned for April 8, Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki appealed to the teachers to refrain from the protest, because the children will suffer from the strike. "Very unambiguously, a year ago, I signalled to the education minister to build a teacher support programme and that's what happened. One year ago, decisions were made to start a sequence of increases - three times five percent," the PM said in an interview with a public radio station.
