Pig farm to be pulled down, give way to Roma Holocaust Memorial

July 12th, 2022

A former pig farm in Lety, situated on the site of a former wartime Roma internment camp, will soon be pulled down to give way to a memorial to the Roma and Sinti Holocaust in Bohemia, Roma Culture Museum spokeswoman Karolina Spielmannova told CTK. The museum is in charge of building the memorial. The costs should not exceed 110 million crowns, Spielmannova said. A part of the costs is to be covered by the state and another part from the Norway Grants.
