Slovakia was not involved in any way in the 2017 abduction of a Thai national from Germany, Prime Minister Peter Pellegrini said on Wednesday, ahead of his meeting with German Chancellor Angela Merkel. The statement comes after German news reports that the Vietnamese secret service abducted entrepreneur Trinh Xuan Thanh, who has applied for political asylum in Germany, using an airplane provided by the Slovak interior ministry.
