Pellegrini: Cyril, Methodius 'placed us among modern nations'

Slovak Prime Minister Peter Pellegrini said in a statement on Friday that Saints Cyril and Methodius, missionaries to the Slavic peoples in the 9th century, "didn't only bring the faith ... but also education, thereby placing us among the modern societies of the time." July 5th is a national holiday in Slovakia, dedicated to St Cyril and Methodius.
