Interior Minister Joachim Brudziński said on Monday that over 250,000 people took part in a Sunday White and Red march on Poland's Independence Day in Warsaw, with a few minor incidents recorded. "This was the largest event of its kind in Warsaw's history," he said, adding that it could only be compared to gatherings during papal visits. The march was peaceful as only very few "marginal and worthy of condemnation" incidents were reported, Brudziński said.
