Orban, Sobotka discuss bilateral ties, W Balkans' integration

May 24th, 2018

Viktor Orban, Hungary's prime minister, and President Wolfgang Sobotka of the Austrian National Council held talks on bilateral relations and the European integration of the Western Balkan countries in Budapest on Thursday, the prime minister's press chief told MTI. Orban and Sobotka agreed that what is already excellent cooperation between the Visegrad Four countries and Austria should be further developed, Bertalan Havasi said. They also agreed that Europe as a whole, and Austria and Hungary in particular have a vested interest in the European integration of the Western Balkans. Senior representatives of the V4 group and Austria are scheduled to hold a meeting in Budapest on June 21, he said.
