The opposition parties are not much surprised at the intention of President Milos Zeman to appoint Andrej Babis (ANO) as prime minister again if MPs voted no confidence in his current government, their leaders told CTK today. TOP 09 chairman Jiri Pospisil called Zeman's idea "contempt of parliament." Civic Democrats (ODS) head Petr Fiala said this was just Zeman's momentary expression of support for Babis. The chairmen of the Christian Democrats (KDU-CSL) and Mayors and Independents (STAN), Pavel Belobradek and Petr Gazdik, share the view that despite the president's plan, no-confidence vote in Babis's coalition government, comprised of his ANO and the Social Democrats (CSSD), would be meaningful.
