Ombudsman proposes Constitutional Court candidates

Slovak ombudsman Maria Patakyova proposed on Tuesday two candidates for the new election of candidates for the Constitutional Court, namely Eva Kovacechova, who also ran in the first round of the election, and Katarina Cechova. Patakyova is convinced that the proposed candidates meet professional and moral criteria for the post. She proposed four candidates for the first round of the vote. The deadline for submitting bids expired on Tuesday at 4 pm, with candidates subsequently to undergo hearings by the constitutional committee in Parliament between March 21-23.
