Number of Czech prisoners slightly falls in 2019

The number of Czech prison inmates slightly fell this year again, thanks to a decrease in crime, more fines imposed instead of prison sentences, and cooperation of the security forces with the probation and mediation service and NGOs, Prison Service deputy head Simon Michailidis has said.
