Negotiations on minimum wage continue, social partners to meet this week

July 8th, 2019

Representatives of trade unions and employers plan to hold negotiations on the level of the minimum wage for 2020 this week. They have until July 15 to come to an agreement. If they fail to do so, it will be up to the Labour Ministry to submit its own proposal. The Republican Union of Employers (RUZ) as well as the Association of Employers Unions (AZZZ) have already confirmed for TASR that they are holding talks with trade unions this week. However, they didn't want to go into particular details, as they want to announce the result only after the end of the negotiations.
