NBS: Bank analysts expect GDP growth of 3.4 percent in 2019

July 31st, 2019

Slovakia's economic growth is forecast to stand at 3.4 percent at the end of this year, meaning that analysts haven't changed their outlook from June 2019, reads the Slovak central bank's (NBS) latest, July prognosis. Back in January, however, GDP was expected to grow by 4.3 percent. Unemployment is expected to rise from the June estimate by 0.1 percentage points to 5.8 percent this year. Inflation should reach 2.4 percent this year, with core inflation at 2.2 percent.
