The co-governing Most-Hid party does not think that the UN Global Compact for Migration would threaten Slovakia's sovereignty and the party does not see any need to adopt a joint resolution via which Slovakia would refuse to contribute to the compact, as proposed by its coalition partner the Slovak National Party (SNS) on Wednesday. The party voiced agreement with the stance of foreign minister Miroslav Lajcak, who called for a discussion clear of any misinformation and expressed his hope that Slovakia will act like a "reasonable and responsible country".
