Russia on Wednesday expelled a Hungarian diplomat in response to Hungary siding with the UK in the so-called Skripal case and making a similar move a few days ago. Russian-British double agent Sergei Skripal and his daughter Yulia were poisoned in the United Kingdom on March 4. In solidarity with the UK, Hungary expelled a Russian diplomat later that month. The Russian foreign ministry said on its website that it had summoned Hungary's Ambassador to Russia, Janos Balla, and presented him a note in which it protested against the Hungarian move.
