Morawiecki named 'Man of the Year' by Gazeta Polska

Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki has been awarded the 2018 'Man of the Year' title by the Gazeta Polska weekly "for his struggle against VAT fraud and an extremely influential criminal gang". Explaining its decision, the weekly stressed that the prime minister is responsible for the work of the special services. "Holding highly the uncompromising struggle against VAT fraud stealing billions of Polish zlotys from the budget, the editorial staff of our weekly decided to award the Gazeta Polska 'Man of the Year' title for 2018 to PM Mateusz Morawiecki," reads a press release published in the latest edition of the weekly.
