Morawiecki: EU requires new faces, ideas

The new "opening" in top EU positions requires new faces and new ideas, Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki said on Monday, after the EU summit to appoint the new leaders of top positions in the EU bodies has been postponed. The Visegrad Group and others have rejected the appointment of Frans Timmermans as the head of the European Commission, he said. "We have presented several new candidates for the function ... these are very good candidates," the prime minister said.
