A month-long Wall 2018 exercise of the Czech active military reserves started on Tuesday, involving some 1,400 troops and focusing on the training of the protection of important buildings and sites such as the Prague international airport. Fifteen active reserve units falling under various regional commands will be involved in the exercise, together with the reserve air force guard company. In cooperation with the police, the soldiers will be patrolling in towns' streets and border areas, and assisting in protecting key buildings and sites in eight regions.
