Matovic criticised for booking SNP Square for Velvet Revolution celebrations

Head of OLaNO Igor Matovic said on Tuesday that he stands behind his decision to make a week-long reservation for SNP Square in Bratislava and to hold celebrations of the 30th anniversary of the Velvet Revolution there, adding that he is inviting other parties, including Smer-SD, SNS and Most-Hid, to participate. Matovic reacted to criticism from the For a Decent Slovakia initiative, which has called on him to "stop misusing" the Velvet Revolution anniversary. "The square belongs to everyone, the revolution belongs to everyone irrespective of whether they supported Smer-SD, SNS, our party or other opposition parties," Matovic said.
