Martina Lubyova to be Slovak education minister

Martina Lubyova, current director of the Slovak Academy of Sciences' (SAV) Prognostics Institute, will be appointed minister of education, science, research and sports, Slovak National Party (SNS) chairman Andrej Danko announced on Monday. Lubyova is replacing Peter Plavcan, who resigned at the end of August in the wake of a scandal concerning the shady distribution of EU funds for research.
