Lower house session on no-confidence vote convoked for Friday

November 19th, 2018

Czech Chamber of Deputies chairman Radek Vondracek (ANO) has convoked its special session to deal with the opposition-proposed vote of no confidence in the cabinet of ANO and the Social Democrats (CSSD) for 09:00 on Friday, as expected, the Chamber's press section said. The session has been provoked by six out of the seven opposition parties in reaction to recent information linked to the Capi hnizdo case of a suspected EU subsidy fraud implicating PM and senior government ANO leader Andrej Babis. In a report released a week ago, Seznam Zpravy server quoted Babis's adult son as saying that his father had him taken to Crimea against his will pending the Capi hnizdo investigation.
