Lithuanian PM to visit northeast Poland on Wednesday

Lithuania's Prime Minister Saulius Skvernelis will pay a visit to Poland on Wednesday, to meet local authorities and the Lithuanian diaspora in the north-eastern part of the country. According to the BNS news agency, Skvernelis is set to visit the north-eastern Polish towns of Suwałki, Puńsk and Sejny. In Puńsk, he will attend the religious celebrations of the Day of the Assumption of Mary and meet compatriots living in the area. In Suwałki and Sejny, the Lithuanian PM is set to be hosted by the local authorities, and discuss how the local governments of both countries work together; as well as the situation of Lithuanians in Poland.
