Last Czechoslovak Tobruk fighter dies

Viktor Wellemin, the last Czechoslovak participant in the fighting near Tobruk, Libya, during World War Two, died at the age of 97 today, Defence Minister Lubomir Metnar (for ANO) has tweeted. Wellemin also fought in the siege of Dunkirk, Metnar said. He was born in a Jewish family in Prague on March 24, 1923.
