Labour ministry proposes minimum wage hike to EUR 580

July 31st, 2019

The minimum wage in 2020 will probably see a hike from 520 euros to 580 euros per month, the Labour, Social Affairs and the Family Ministry said on Wednesday. The ministry has proposed the sum to representatives of employers and employees, who, as in the past, failed to clinch a deal on the minimum wage this year. The tripartite [government, unions and employers] is slated to discuss the motion on August 19.
