Kiska calls on govt to 'resolve differences' ahead of debate on UN migration compact

November 20th, 2018

Slovak President Andrej Kiska called on the government to "resolve personal disputes so that Slovakia can remain a trustworthy partner in the eyes of its allies", his communications advisor, Roman Krpelan, told TASR on Tuesday. The Slovak parliament will discuss the UN compact on global migration on Wednesday. Miroslav Lajcak, the minister for foreign and European affairs, threatened on Tuesday to resign should the compact be rejected by Parliament.
