Conservative Jobbik is launching an initiative to scrap personal income tax for Hungarians under 29, parliamentary group leader Peter Jakab told a press conference on Thursday. The measure would constitute and "immediate 15 percent wage hike" for some 800,000 citizens, he said. The costs would come to 40-50 billion forints (EUR 121-151m) which is available in the state budget, he said. Such a step would improve the situation of a demographic especially prone to emigration, Jakab added.
