India's President Kovind to visit Czech Republic in September

India's President Ram Nath Kovind will meet Czech representatives including President Milos Zeman and Prime Minister Andrej Babis during his visit to the Czech Republic in early September, which will be the first visit by an Indian president to Prague in more than 20 years, the head of the Czech Presidential Office's foreign department told CTK on Wednesday. Rudolf Jindrak said Kovind will arrive in the Czech Republic on September 6, at the close of his tour of Europe, after visiting Bulgaria and Cyprus. On September 7, he will meet Zeman, Babis and lower house chairman Radek Vondracek in Prague. Before leaving the Czech Republic on Sunday, September 9, Kovind will lay flowers at the monument to Rabindranath Tagore (1861-1941), a Bengali artist, philosopher and the first Asian holder of the Nobel Prize in literature.
