Hungary inflation 2.1 pc in Jan

Hungary's consumer price index rose by an annual 2.1 percent in January and prices were 0.3 percent higher than in December, the Central Statistical Office (KSH) said on Tuesday. Inflation was pushed lower by VAT cuts on internet service, catering and fish that took effect on Jan. 1. Excluding the impact of tax changes, consumer prices rose by an annual 2.4 percent and 0.8 percent from the previous month.
