Hungary govt to launch new EV subsidy scheme in Oct

Hungary's government will wind up a subsidy programme for the purchase of electric vehicles at the end of August, but replace it with another, this one with simplified conditions, in October, the Innovation and Technology Ministry said on Tuesday. The 2 billion forint (EUR 6.2m) funding allocation for the current programme will be topped up with 300 million forints, the ministry said.
