September 19th, 2017
Parliament on Tuesday voted down Freedom and Solidarity's (SaS) proposal to designate October 28, the day on which the Czechoslovak Republic was founded in 1918, a state holiday, TASR learnt on the same day. SaS argued that October 28, 1918 represents one of the most significant watersheds in the modern history of Slovakia, and the 100th anniversary is fast approaching.
