The Health Ministry told TASR on Wednesday that asthmatics along with people suffering from moderate diseases that significantly increase the risk of experiencing a harsh reaction to Covid-19 will be vaccinated against the disease earlier than the rest of the public, meaning that they will be vaccinated after medical workers, the elderly and those suffering from serious diseases such as cancer. Head of the Slovak Association of Allergic and Asthmatic Patients Andrej Vilim views the move positively, pointing to the fact that as Covid-19 attacks the lungs, it poses a serious threat to asthmatics.
